Anker’s P1i Projector Features Directional Speakers for Immersive Audio

Anker’s Nebula division unveiled the P1i portable projector at CES 2026, offering a unique solution to a common problem with mobile projectors: poor speaker direction. The P1i stands out with speakers that rotate up to 200 degrees, allowing users to precisely aim sound toward their seating position.

Innovative Speaker Design

Unlike typical portable projectors where speakers often point away from the audience, the P1i’s speakers fold out at a 90-degree angle and can then be rotated. This “elephant-ear” design ensures sound is directed toward listeners, even if they’re seated in front of or behind the projector. Each speaker delivers 10 watts of power – standard for this price range.

Built-in Entertainment Features

The P1i runs Google TV, granting access to full-featured apps like Netflix. Its 1080p resolution provides a clear image, suitable for casual viewing. The projector also includes a retractable foot to help adjust the image.

Brightness and Performance

With a claimed brightness of 380 ANSI lumens, the P1i performs well in darker settings. Though not designed for brightly lit rooms, it should deliver a visible TV-sized image.

Availability and Pricing

Anker plans to release the P1i in early 2026 at an estimated price of $369. The design is a practical improvement for those who want a portable projector with quality audio.
